Due to the damage from being exposed to the elements for more than 2 years, all the interior walls were taken back to the studs to replace the damaged areas. The commitment is to restore the architecture to the previous look of the house and keep it blended into the neighborhood. In spite of all the challenges, you can almost hear the house give a sign of relief.
Rehab Underway
The work of rehabbing the home for sale at 495 Daniel Ave, Decatur, GA 30032 has begun.
Demolition is underway and new a concrete finish was applied to the exterior stairs. The tree that fell on the home and caused all the damage
This 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom wreck will be transformed into a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with all the best materials.
What was an eye sore to the neighbors is about to become the envy of the block.

Behind The Scenes Story
When you see how this house looks now, you see a wreaked house.
A huge tree fell on this house in January 2008. At the time, the home owner was in the house with 7 grandchildren.
Thankfully, no one was hurt but when they left that night, they only returned to pick up a few things. Their homeowner’s insurance had lapsed so the house has not been fixed up.
If you can see past the shambles, you can see this was a wonderful house that had been a good home to the owner for 37 years. Other family lived on the same street for many years.
Watch as the rehab begins and this house will have a happy ending!
